Visual Aid 1.5.3: How do I make right decisions?

So, it is important to make good or right decisions. Ask whether there were incidences where they felt they had made the wrong decision or whether they know of people who have made wrong decisions. Ask them to share.
Ask trainees how best one can make right decisions. List key areas which should be considered when taking decisions.
Visual Aid 1.5.3:  How do I make right decisions?
Ask the key questions:
-          Do I have enough information to take a decision?
-          Do I know enough about the consequences if I take a decision?
Note:
-          Inform yourself

-          Discuss and take the views from friends, teachers, family
Be informed, and reflect on consequences = makes good decisions
Particularly in the case of big decisions it is important to make the right / good decisions.
Sometimes it is not easy to make decisions. There are decisions making processes which make it easier to make choices.

Explain the Concept of Decision Making         30 Min

Distribute one Metacard to each of the trainees and ask trainees to write down one big decision they currently have to make in the field of work or studies. Emphasise that the information on the card should really matter and have consequences. Highlight that the contribution will remain confidential.
Scan cards and identify 5-6 tough decisions. Put them onto a Flipchart. Change the wording so that confidentially is kept. Highlight that trainees are in an age where they have to take really tough decisions with consequences in their future.

Then explain how decision making can improve one’s life making better decisions.
