Visual Aid 1.5.1: Making decisions

Making Decisions
-          When you have two or more options, you have to make a choice.
-          Such choices usually are aligned with your goals and values.
Note: All decisions have consequences!

Point out that people make small decisions every day but also big decisions.
Divide the examples came up earlier as small and big. Then give more examples of small and big decisions using the following slides or flip charts.
Visual Aid 1.5.2:  Making decisions
Small Decisions
-          What to eat, wear, do?
-          What shall I eat today?
-          What should we do tonight?
-          What do I study first?
Big Decisions
-          Long-term decisions
-          What should I choose for my studies?
-          Whom should I marry?
-          Which job should I choose?
-          Where should I live?
-          Not much information required
-          Requires not much Thinking
-          Lots of information required
-          Requires much Thinking

Now, discuss with trainees about consequences in the case of small or big decisions and highlight that particularly for big decisions, consequences are significantly more defining than in the case of small decisions.
