Visual Aid 1.3.2: Forms of communication

Communication is a process by which a person sends or receives information, ideas and messages to others. Communication plays an important role in everyone’s life both at work place and in personal life.

What is Communication
Communication is simply the act of transferring information from one place to another.

Communication comes in various forms. Discuss with trainees how these forms are articulated in real live. Also highlight that these forms of communication vary for each person however, most of them affect our daily life.

Forms of communication 
Intrapersonal: self-analysis, reflection
Interpersonal: dialogue between 2 and more people
Group communication: various people communicate amongst each other
Mass communication: TV, media, social media, etc.
          
         Present and explain the basic components of communication process. Present the simple model having the following components- Sender: A person who initiates the communication.
         Message: The message is whatever the sender wants to share with receivers (individual or group).
         Channel: The way sender shares the message.

         Receiver: One person or a group is the destination of the communication process.
