Ergonomics is concerned with the design of workplaces,
tools, and tasks that match the physiological, anatomical, and psychological
characteristics and capabilities of the worker. If
measures are taken which ensure that the work environment prevents physical
discomfort, fatigue and ailments will be reduced. Better working conditions not
only help reducing worker injuries but can also ensure improved productivity.

Benefits of ergonomics include

Ask the trainees to extend their arm and keep it in the same position
for 5 mins without changing the posture. Let them share the experience
afterwards.
Distribute the Visual Aid below and discuss with the trainees, the various
forms of Ergonomic Hazards. Ask them to present some cases, they know within
their family and friend circles.
