Identify Hazards and Risks at work 50 Min
Distribute
8 pictures and ask trainees to comment about the safety of these workers and
the potential risks (see Hand out).
List
the risks and potential injuries. Discuss the possible impact such injuries
have for the worker.

Hazards:
any
source of potential damage, harm or adverse health effects on something or
someone under certain conditions at work
Risk:
Potential for injury from machinery, chemicals, electricity, fire,
fall from ladder, slippery floor, noise, dust and etc.

Highlight that as workers, trainees will
spend long hours in the workplace. It is important that employers and employees
are aware of the potential hazards and risks.
Make a list of potential hazards, jointly
with trainees.
