Gloves
Rubber Gloves, Metal Gloves, Surgical & Woollen Gloves and Finger Guards etc.
Covers and protects hands from the wrist to the fingers from being cut, chemicals, infections
Potential Risks if not used:  Cuts, burns, infections
Foot and leg protection equipment
Safety Shoes
e.g. rubber boots, rubberised shoes
impact-resistant toes and heat-resistant soles to protect feet from chemicals, heat, nails, cuts and other injuries
Potential Risks if not used:  food injuries, infections, electrocution

Highlight that it is the responsibility of enterprises to provide required equipment.

Duties of Employers/Enterprises
·        have to provide personnel protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to the risks they face at their place of work
·        have to regularly assess the workplace and identify safety needs
·        have to train and motivate employees in the use and care of the PPE
·        should ensure that sufficient PPE is available and are in working order
Duties of Employees
·        wear PPE as per instructions
·        clean and maintain PPE
·        inform a supervisor of the need to repair or replace PPE
