1 Training Manual Details

1.1       Structure of the Modules

The training manual has been developed in four modules to address a variety of aspects ranging from relevant for the project beneficiaries to increase their employability skills as well as their employment or self-employment opportunities. As can be seen in graph 1, Module 1 introduces the trainees to reflect about themselves, the ‘self’, while Module 2 addresses the self that is influenced and needs to adapt to requirements set by the society. Module 3 addresses the trainee and his/ her rights and responsibilities at work, while Module 4 provides an introduction into entrepreneurship.

1.2       Duration

The total duration of the sessions in the training manual is 50 hours inclusive of all activities (e.g. group work, assignment, individual practice etc.). 

1.3       Target Group

Participants identified by B-SkillFUL project, who are defined as youth, disadvantaged and poor, with particular focus on women, ethnic or religious minorities and people with disabilities.

1.4       Target Location

The project facilitates implementation of training programmes through Training Service Providers (TSPs) on demand driven skills in 5 selected districts of Bangladesh.

1.5       Trainer Qualification

At least three years of working experience as trainer with ToT on contents related to the training manual.    

1.6       Trainer-trainee Ratio

Trainer-to-trainee ratio is 1:20 during training delivery.

1.7       Medium of Instruction

The medium of instruction for this course will be Bangla.

1.8       Mode of Training Manual Delivery

The content of the training manual will be built into the total training hours of 192. The schedule of training delivery will be finalised jointly with individual TSPs. Trainers will maintain a register to keep track of date, topic, duration of training delivered along with the participants’ attendance and assignments. A minimum of 90% training attendance is compulsory for each of the trainees to attend.

It is suggested that common module is delivered as a complementary course to ongoing skills development course and that it is delivered on a daily basis.
