Types of termination of employment, ID Card

ID Card: is issued as soon as contractual agreements are signed and provides the proof for employment. The ID Card requires,
·      Factory Name and Address 

·      Worker’s Name and Designation
·      Type of work, Department/ Branch 

·      Ticket or ID Card Number 

·      Date of joining 

·      Worker’s Signature (optional)

·      Employer/ Manager’s Signature
·      Picture of Worker 

·      Blood group

Service Book: is issued within 15 days of confirmation of service by the employer. Employee can have a copy of the service book. The Service book records your work, experience and wage and benefits provided. Employees can and should acquire a copy. Employers need to hand over the Service Book to employee within 15 days of departure. 

Types of termination of employment
·      Termination means the expiry of the employment of an employee by the employer without assigning any reason (120 day prior notice to monthly wages based permanent employee by employer)
·      Discharge means the expiry of the employment of an employee on the ground of mental and physical inability or incapacity because of ill health
·      Retrenchment means the expiry of the employment of an employee on the ground of redundancy
·      Lay off means failure, refusal or inability of an employer to continue the employment to employees.
·      Retirement means the usual expiry of the employment of an employee due to reaching a certain age (57 years)
·      Resignation means expiry of the employment of an employee due to resigning by the employee himself/herself (60 days prior notice to employer by permanent employee)
